Summer Travel?

I'm currently a junior premed, and I'm contemplating summer travel during August. In general, do you receive secondaries in August if you submit your AMCAS in June and take MCAT in April? Would it be a disadvantage for me to travel for an entire month?

The secondaries would be sent to my house, and my parents could fax them to me. Or, do my secondaries have to be submitted on the original form?

Any info would be much apppreciated. 🙂
