I would like to know what the general consensus is regarding which institution matches better / is higher prestige overall. Would love to hear what everyone thinks.

I would personally go with the school that optimizes for your preference location wise - I'm not sure there's a notable difference in prestige.

Take my opinion with the grain of salt though, because I'm from California and not super well-versed in NY schools. But from the perspective of someone in medicine from California, there is no difference.
