I was just wondering how hard is it for an out of state student (with a reasonable GPA and MCAT score) to gain acceptance? Has anyone on here been accepted?
well, the SUNYs don't use in-state residency as a factor in admissions any longer, so that shouldn't be a problem for you. hopefully you have good volunteer experience and other ECs because that seems like something downstate is very concerned with. i've heard that they have a fondness for non-traditional applicants because they tend to have had more "real-life" experiences. good luck.

I lived in Syracuse all my life, but I moved to NC in July and got residency there... and applied to Downstate as a NC resident. I was accepted in early Nov.
