Hey Daisy Girl:

I probably won't be doing that BBQ like I said I was going to do if I got into SUNY SB. But if you come to UB. I will probably have a BBQ at my parents. We have a pool!!

So come take a swim

CONGRATS!!!!!! on getting accepted!!!!!!

I hope to hear from UB soon. The waiting sucks

but hopefully i will hear some good news soon :)

Congrats!
Guess, I'll see u in UB this fall.

Hey - I went to Williamsville North too! Graduated in 1997. Although I am a dental student, we took Gross Anatomy & Histology with the meds and I swear on the first day of school it felt like UB med/dent should be called Williamsville West. So many Williamsville kids seem to go away for college and them come home for med school.

The UB med waitlist always seems to start moving in the summer, thats when a lot of my friends finally got in. Congrats on your acceptance. And you get out at 12 pm everyday! I envy your schedule - I'm stuck till at least four EVERDAY!

Even though State schools say they want take in-state students, they want out of state, so they can get more money. I don't think they get a lot of money from the state for accepting state resident.

That is why I feel more area residents get in off the waitlist. They put the student on the waitlist knowing that out of state students will get off the acceptance list.

Tweetie Pie, where are you from?

For the people going to SUNY UB next year, should we start a Thread in the Allopathic disscussion or Pre-Allopathic.

I think Allo

Is anyone a Bills Fan!

Hi Adam,

I too am waiting on Buffalo's list and I was wondering if you would be so kind as to post or PM me your stats.
I cannot get a straight answer from them where I am on the list so maybe I can at least compare stats and deduce how close we are to each other on the list.

Thanks

My stats:

GPA 3.67 (when I applied) but I told them I increased that to a 3.80 because I got 2 straight 4.0 semesters.

7,9,12,Q MCAT

Research, Good ECs, TA, Tutor

They are pretty damn secretive about that list.
But I can see why they won't tell you. Even if you were the next they don't want to influence your decision at other schools based on your standing on the list.

AK•••••I'd love to go to a BBQ, but since I won't be going to UB (I'm going to SB), I most likely won't be visiting Buffalo anytime too soon! If you get into SB (and you want to go there), you can still have that BBQ :D .

Good luck at Buffalo. I really liked that school a lot because the students seemed so nice and genuine there.

Daisy Girl:

Well going to Buffalo has so many advantages over SB. I sve another $12K in living expenses.
Plus I can go to Bills games. Are you a football fan. I dig chicks that like football. If anybody wants to have a BBQ that is going to Buffalo next year, maybe we can set something up before Orientation.

I loved both schools! Have fun!

Today I found out that I am "submiddle???" and they have entered the "middle" of the list. Can anybody confirm these tiers because I might have misunderstood the submiddle part.
They said that they historically get through the "submiddle."
If someone can call to confirm I would really appreciate it.

How did you find out your place on the list?

TweetiePie:

Where are you living? Have to already found a place? Where are you looking to live?

AK

johne,

when i talked to them they said they divide the list into thirds. did they say that they are in the middle third now?....when i talked to them they said that they were at the end of the top third. did anyone else get this info???
knish

They gave me that "thirds thing" also.

They told me the day before I ws accepted that they were in the top third of the regular list.

Now that was a week ago. (acceptance sent on June 11th)

So I would be surprised that they would be moving to the bottom of the top third or the middle third. The reason, because they gave the people in my group of acceptances till today June 18th to phone the admissions office if they wanted the spot.
So the next bunch of letter might be sent out on Wednesday.

Hey you may get them by the end of the week.

AK :)  :D

thanks for the update AK.

I hope you are right.

This move makes good sense because it is fairly close to Brooklyn.

It nice being close to home.

What was the Housing fair like.

Where are you guys planning on living.

When I get back to Buffalo, the incoming class should plan something before oreintation.
