Hey guys,

I was wondering if anyone has some good suggestions as for what I can buy along the lines of school supplies. I know it sounds a little silly, but what usually works better, spiral notebooks? binders?
any suggestions would help.

thanks

I think it is more a matter of choice. At my school, they supply notes, so it is easier to have a binder and keep them in there. I also keep some paper in there, just in case I need something else to write on.

Other than binders and paper, I would guess a highlighter and depending on how anal you are, perhaps even some colored pens (for color-coated drawings, etc.). I also noticed lots of people in my class who had colored, sticky tabs for their notes and books for quick reference.

Other than those, I can't imagine what else one would need. It?s basically the same things you needed for undergrad (perhaps a few more highlighters).

why bother with notebooks or taking notes at all. Buy a laser printer, and print out the noteservice transcripts.

You probably won't need much paper. At my school everything was provided for us, whether we had to buy a note packet or got one at the beginning of class each day. Maybe a little notebook to jot things down if you need, ex phone numbers or something. I used large binders, pens, highlighters, and the sticky tabs. I was super anal about marking each new section of my notes in my binder so I wouldn't have to flip through looking for the relevant section.

You won't need loose leaf paper or notebooks. Just print out the slides and take notes on those.

I always liked paper, just in case. I liked always being prepared (although, to be honest, I didn't use it much--but I was still glad to have it there). :luck:

get the binders... I have a binder for every block... it was the best way for me to organize everything according to the subject matter...

Good luck because what works for me may not work for you, so just try to find your own groove. You made it this far, I am sure you can make it the rest of the way.

i totally agree. A laser printer is the best thing i ever bought. quick and efficient

Laser printers are great, but there may be a cheaper way to print out the notes at your school. Some schools have dirt cheap printing for medical students and it's cheaper than trying to buy the paper, toner, etc. yourself. Just something to look into at your school.
