Spend less time reading this list and more time studying.

Some people have over 250 posts. What's going on!!!

Bye...I have to go study...

What else am I supposed to do to pass the time while waiting to hear from the adcoms?

I tend to agree with the original poster.

900+? Damn. Now I know why second-year is that hard.

Yo yo yo! Let's keep it clean here.

To the original poster: As the activity in this web forum has no detrimental effect on your well-being, why the need to be so nasty? Let it be, regardless of how ridiculous other people's behavior may appear.

To casual users: keep it entertaining and useful

To Tim W: Holy s*@t, that's a lot of posts. In the spirit of the new millenium, why not go for 1000?

Hey KidA, I'm on to you.....

Just cuz you got into Harvard with the 12.5 MCAT doesn't mean you're the shizat.

Helbig,
I have to disagree. Studying is the easy part. The hard part is knowing all those little details that pertain to admissions that no one seems to tell you about. I can't count all of the things I've learned here. I also find it useful to get a preview of what lies ahead by listening to the current med students. Last but not least, this site is a great source of support (see wooo's countdown post). BTW, how much time do you think it takes to check the posts on this site? I know I usually just run through the thread titles to see if anything strikes me as interesting. The 5-10 minutes I spend are usually well worth it. How much could I learn in 5 minutes anyway?

I don't know about other people, but I have found this forum to be invaluable in the process of learning about many topics related to medicine. I have never let it take away from my studying (MCAT prep) and have found it to even be a source of entertainment.

I disagree. This website has been great for me. I've learned lots of things about the admissions/MCAT process that I never knew. It never takes away from my study time. I'm sure most people don't study and go to class 24/7.

right on! I think this forum is great. It has given me so much inside info that I dont think I could have gotten anywhere else. Im sure it will prove to be an invaluable website through out my pre-med studies and application process.

If you need to study so hard that you can't spare 10 minutes to be entertained on SDN, then I seriously feel sorry for you. Actually, I haven't studied since high school. I just go to class and the tests. Do you seriously need to study to get A's??? Maybe you should reconsider your career path. He he he.
