Anyone know of any US medical schools that offer 4-week surgery rotations to visiting International Students? I'm trying to make plans for next summer, but it's very hard to get definitive answers off the internet - hopefully the good folks at SDN will be able to help! I know of a couple, but hopefully you can broaden my horizons....

If you are a final year student, there are many places which will offer them.

Your own program in Ireland should have a list of places people have gone before but should it not prove useful, I rotated at the following as a visiting medical studnet:

University of Virginia, Charlottesville
University of Kentucky, Louisville
Baylor University, Houston
University of California, San Francisco (has a "policy" of not taking foreign students but since I worked there before medical school perhaps I had an "in")
Johns Hopkins Univ, Baltimore

I have seen an Irish medical student rotating here at Penn State as well.

If you check the International forums you may well find other suggestions.
