all things being equal, do you think a FMG with a MD degree stands a better chance than a DO at obtaining allopathic categorical general surgery residencies? thanks

Depends on whether the FMG is an IMG with US citizenship and excellent scores and LORs from US clinicals, or a non-citizen with average stats.
