Hi everybody

is there still demand for Surgery residents in Germany ?

i have double citizenship EU citizenship and Syria citizenship , i lived almost all my life in Europe austria-hungary-romania , still have 1 year to finish med school in E.U , so i have all the conditions for easy application to Germany , i am an E.U citizen,i will have E.U med school diplome , and i will work this year to have B2 or C1 German language degree , the thing is i am afraid to start to learn German, and spend a whole year studying it ,and paying $$$ for it,and then when i apply to Germany as a resident in surgery ,i wont be accepted , and i would have wasted alot of time for nothing , i am asking this because i heard some rumors that Germany is kindof full of doctors now and they are not in need for surgery residents(especially after 1 year) , and the only residents they accept are internal medicine-anesthetics

please help me if you know anything about the situation in Germany
