heres my issue.

im still studying like its do or die for april. but with my new job and being sick i didn't study as much as i should. so i am taking one more test this week, see how that goes, and if its above a certain amount i am going to average all my exams and decide if i push to august.

okay, fine. so do i:
apply this year and take mcat in august.
apply NEXT year with august scores.

i am non trad so i kinda want to apply this year , but i also want to give myself the best chance i can.

anyone in this situation, or have any good advice, PM me.

dang, i really wanted to take this test now. ugh.

That sucks, but its better than taking it twice.

I think it really depends on the schools you're applying to. I know UCSF (just for example) considers rolling admission and it won't hurt to have an August MCAT. On the other hand two MDs I know said they thought they were severely hurt by applying late (USC and Georgetown) -- one denied and one waitlisted with pretty stellar apps (eventually got in obviously).

Personally, I'd wait the extra year. You could call your top school choices and ask them how they treat later applications.
