Hi guys, I just wanted to ask your opinion on whether I should be ok for the switch or not. I am PGY-2 surgery resident switching to a CA-1 anesthesiology position. Applied to 40 programs, got 3 interviews, some outside the Match. Some programs did not have CA-1. It's the middle of october and I am wondering if this number of interviews is ok or not.

I was in a similar situation. I applied for the match late (October) and still matched with only a few interviews. I moonlighted for a year before starting my CA1 year. ETA: If you can secure an outside the match position, take it!
Good Luck!
