I am considering switching into Family Medicine from Pathology. I am missing patient contact and am worried about finding jobs in Path. I am a first year in a good program. Has anyone out there done this, or considered this?

Funny because I was torn between FM and Path. Two specialties that are worlds apart and I love them both. If there were a plethora of job opportunities in Path I would be pushing glass right now.
I am sure someone out there has made this switch and I doubt any well respected PD in FM would hold it against you. You would bring a different perspective to their program.
