Take off waitlist before May 15th?

Does anyone know if these schools take people off the waitlist prior to May 15th? Or do I have to wait until then to even begin hoping?

I am pretty sure GW starts after may 15th but you can call and ask, that's what I did. No harm in calling, I say, it is a valid question.
