I'm planning on applying in the summer for the 2007-2008 cycle/year

however, since this is my senior year ( i took an extra year to boost my gpa and EC's) i will have a year gap in between dent. school and graduation.

I was thinking of going through one more extra semester during my time off to complete a 2nd major (psychology).

Would this help me at all if i tell the schools that i'm completing a 2nd major, or is it just a waste of time???

unless you're using the psych major to boost your gpa i would say save yourself some money and get a job or volunteer at a clinic because i don't think d-schools give preference to students with two majors

what are your stats? if you have a solid gpa dont bother, make sure you do well on the dats, lots of shadowing and polish all your other criteria for the application esp the dats, if your gpa is really low then go for it but make sure u do well on the dats

science gpa: 3.2
non-science: 3.1

I applied for a double major at UF and it was denied because I was so close to graduation.... That was the best thing that ever happened to me.... I was accepted at UFCD without the D-major.. Thank God.

Overall: 2.96
Science: 3.32
DAT: 19/20/19

Bottom Line.... NO DOUBLE MAJOR
