Does taking the echocardiography boards in second vs. third year of fellowship make any difference in terms of job prospects for non-invasive cardiology?

take it after second year. you don't want to be study for echo boards in june/july when u can be studying for cv boards intead.

Agree. I took echo, general and nuclear boards all over the course of a few months. You don't want to do that. Take echo and/or nuke as soon as you qualify to and get them out of the way.
