Is taking one of my three needed English courses (I'm on the quarter system) at CC a bad look? The summer CC course is just so much cheaper (like $100 vs $1.5k, and I can't take it during the normal school year since I will graduate early). For context, I have a 4.0 GPA and am a current junior at a top public university with a double major in STEM, so I don't think GPA padding should be a concern... but I don't know lol

Taking a single English course at a community college will not be an issue. I would counsel differently if it looked like you were trying to inflate your GPA by taking several courses--especially required STEM courses--at an easier college.

Some people might substitute affordable there.

Well played! I certainly did not mean to offend.
No offense taken! I think the community college still gets a bad rap as a place where people go to take "easy" courses, but the reality is that the community college might be the "only" way for some people to complete certain courses or earn a degree.
