Hey guys! I am taking the DAT on the 22. I have been studying all summer long between 7-8 hours everyday minus experience. I am feeling so Sundays and nervous. I have a strong anxious but worry that ill do bad and all this hard work was for nothing. Just want some advice and what the whole dat experience is truly like.

That should give you a pretty good idea of how the test goes. Are there any specific concerns you have?
i have just heard so many different things. Some people tell me its so hard and so different then the dat bootcamp and then others tell me its easier. haha also someone told me they scale your raw dat score is that true? i never heard it before my friend who applied told me they did. I am just worried about gen chem and QR

It's hard to comment on difficulty because it's really relative to how well you prepared. I thought it was a pretty basic test as long as you're thorough with the content review process. Not sure what you mean by scaling your raw DAT score, but different versions of the test are scored differently (getting 5 wrong in GC of one exam might not produce the same score as 5 wrong in GC of another version of the exam).

QR is mostly about speed, the math itself is pretty straightforward, so practice it every day. Gen Chem requires good review of concepts ahead of time.

ok good!! i have been studying like crazy and doing hours of practice problems! thank you so much for responding!

Don't freak out and be confident in yourself. Plus 2 weeks is a long time so keep grinding till the last few days.

Don't worry!!!!! You'll do great!! Looks like you have been studying for a good amount of time. As feralis said, the practice exams tend to be very representatitive of the real DAT.

I highly suggest you go through the prometric test drive to help get you accustomed to the testing center before you actually take the DAT.

I'm right behind you taking the test in 4 weeks and I'm NERVOUS! But myself, like you.. have busted my rear and have to BELIEVE!! Good luck and you got this!
