I have a hearing impairment in one ear, and was wondering if this would be ok to discuss in some of my secondary apps. It can be corrected to a near-normal level with the use of a hearing aid, if necessary.

Just wondering because I know that most med schools have a technical standards blurb on their website, so I'm hoping this won't be a negative on my application.

If you are showing it in a positive light rather than a disability viewpoint, it won't count against you. Adcoms are human afterall

I've often wondered about this as well.Whether a Hard of Hearing person could successfuly become a physician. OP you say only one ear has hearing loss, but what about someone with mild to moderate hearing loss in both ears? Would this be too detrimental? Maybe extra-strong stethoscope and hearing aids???
