I am a medical director of a sleep lab (LLC) and also have a private practice (sole proprietorship). Are gift cards that I give the sleep lab's technicians tax deductible (either against my income from the LLC or the sole proprietorship)? Are gift baskets- containing chocolate, nuts, etc- that I give to hospitals/doctor's offices tax deductible?

    thanks

Perhaps as part of an advertising cost....put a business card in them?

(Consult with your tax advisor before implementing this.)

you should have no problems deducting those items.
