TBR: Electromagnetism Question

In the TBR's Physics Part 2 Book Section 8, I have a question on example 8.7b. According to the RHR, since the electron is traveling to the right with the magnetic field pointing into the page, the force would be pointing up but because this is an electron and since the RHR applies only to the (+) charge, this would be inverted and thus the force would be pointing down. Is this correct and is this the logic behind example 8.7b on why answer A is correct?
