I got the answer right, but part of the answer explanation is "What else but berkelium could be right?"

It's probably unimportant and just there to help you understand alpha emission, but I don't really understand what exactly the question is asking.

Could you guys with TBR take a look at help me out? Thanks.

idk it seems like they are trying to be witty and reference their company as an element.. i don't think its worth focusing on... if you want you can try to look at the diff elements on the periodic table and say "okay if element X underwent alpha decay it would become element Y"
