for question one of this section, where do we get these equations from? isnt this a uniformly accelerated motion problem? why is it a projectile problem? where is the angle? and where are the x and y components???

please be nice, i suck at physics :(

The question does not require an equation. You just have to realize that, without air resistance, two objects will fall at the same rate regardless of their mass and horizontal velocity.
