-During the step 1 exam do questions automatically save for you as you go through them or do you have to formally 'save' each answer?
-If you run out of time for a block are your answers submitted automatically?

Once you click an answer, it's saved. Once the time runs out, everything is submitted automatically. The only time you would have to actually "submit" answers for a block is if you finished one early & wanted additional break time instead of using the remaining time to review answers. In this case, you would click end block and confirm the submission when prompted.
