I'm currently in the Hopkins postbac program and have generally very good things to say about it. For a little background, I came straight out of undergrad, took chemistry last summer, have been taking lots of other classes this year, plan to take the mcats this summer, and can start applying to med schools in the fall. (there is a chance I will wait a year before applying, but it's for personal reasons unrelated to the Hopkins program.) Overall, I would recommend the program, especially if you are interested in taking advantage of some of the other opportunities of a big research school like JHU. A number of students in the program currently are taking classes at the school of public health, and (as I'm sure you heard when you interviewed) the administrators of the program really encourage us to all find activities (research or otherwise) to complement our coursework. My one disappointment has been some of the large lectures, but I think they are about on par for any undergraduate program at a large research-focused university (ie many profs are here for the research, not because they like, or are good at, teaching). The best parts of the program, for me, have been the other opportunities at Hopkins (I've taken three public health classes and have been doing lab research) and the community of other students, which is pretty outstanding.
I hope that helps answer some questions. Feel free to let me know if there's anything in particular you want to know!
