Hey Guys!
It is nice to talk to you guys again after the time off SDN had. Anyway, I was just finishing my Temple secondary and the essay they have asks specifically what interets me in their school. Instead of giving the usual cirriculum, early clinical exposure, etc. answers I went right into my desire to earn a MD/MPH and the reasons why. The essay is about a page and a half. Do you guys think its a bad idea to focus on the program? I am afraid it might be to generic because many schools offer dual degree programs. On the flipside, I figured my essay might stand out because I went into depth about my passion to pursue public health. Just wanted some feedback. Thanks everyone!!

I think that if you were sincere in your essay, that you should be fine; however, I would throw in at least one specific (either about the med school or about the school of public health) just to be on the safe side. Good luck! 👍

I am definitely sincere about public health. It is the path I want to take and that is what I feel sets me apart from other individuals. I have majored in public health for the last 3 years in college, have done some considerable research, and actually implemented my own community program in Brooklyn, New York. I love it!
