Temple Students - Anyone living in South Philly Area?

I was looking at an apartment last night around 11th street in South Philly. I'd be taking the subway to and from school. My question is - how safe is it traveling on the subway late at night. Right now, I won't be having a roomate. What are peoples opinions?

I've ridden the market-frankford as late as 4 am before (when it becomes a bus instead of a subway).

While it can be a bit sketchy, I've personally never had a problem.
