Does anyone know what qualifies you as a Texas resident? I have been attending school away from home, my parents are divorced and my Dad moved to Texas when I started college. He claims me as a dependent.
I think as long as your father is living and working in Texas and claiming you as a dependent, you should qualify as a Texas resident. If he were to stop claiming you as a dependent then you would have to live and work in Texas for a year to be considered a resident.
