I wrote a 'thank you' letter to the PD. I wasn't expecting any answer, although he replied to me the following right away:

Thank you [name]
you were well received

That’s all. do you think is positive or negative?

I think it's hard to ascertain anything from these statements. He's probably being honest, but I wouldn't read too much into it, i.e. "we liked you" doesn't mean the same thing as "you're ranked to match." I'm saying this as one who's received similar vague messages.

That being said, ANY post-interview communication from the program that indicates interest, vague or specific, is probably good.

So what's next? are you guys sending "The" letter to PDs telling them you would rank them TOP?

You think they would tell us how they would ranking us?

I'm pretty anxious and don't know what to do! 😱
