I heard this is the best book out there right now to prepare for the ABSITE. The book is written by Steven Fiser. What do you guys think? Many interns I have met during the interviewing trail highly recommended this book to browse over the summer before residency starts when I asked to recommend a book to read for high yield review stuff for gen surg. Most of them are studying straight out of this book for the test and wished that they have bought this book earlier. Anyhow, I was also browsing ebay and found this book listed for only $31.99. This is the cheapest I have found to date. I'm going to buy it to start reading I guess.

Relax dude. I created this thread to ask the opinions of those residents here about this book. I want to know their opinions before actually buying the book myself. I mentioned ebay because it's where I found the book being sold the cheapest and figured it may save others some $$$ too. Save your sarcasm for a later time.

I used the book last year and found that it contained much of the material covered on the real exam. I concur with your other recommenders that it would be a useful book to add to your arsenal against the ABSITE.

Steve Fiser, the author of this book, was my chief resident when I was a second-year resident. He did a great job with this book and scored several perfect ABSITE scores. The book is complete and contains what you need to know for this exam. It is a great review book and can get you up to speed very quickly.
