I'm IMG from asia. ( Got medical degree 3 years ago)
I plan to take step1 in 6 to 8 months. Could anyone suggest some good review books for step1?

Must have: First Aid for USMLE Step 1

Otherwise, review books are a matter of preference. Rather than beat a dead horse, I suggest you do a search on this site as there are multiple threads dealing with this subject.

On that note, I'll move this to the USMLE forums where it belongs...

These are my favorites:
Pharm - Road Map (new series but written by Katzung. An awesome review)
Anatomy/Neuro and behavioral sci - "High Yield"

I took the live Kaplan lecture course. I also highly recommend this if you have the time and the money. They will point you in the right directionn. Just know their questions are harder than the actual board exam.

I didn't like First Aid until now- after I've done all of my initial runn-through of everything. I find it very very hard to use as an initial study tool but good as a review.

The Step-Up review book is very good - it's systems based.

good luck!

The Board Review Series are really good: Pathology, Physiology, Microbio.

First Aid might be better as a last week review.
