What is teh income range of a DO vs. a MD

signed by: MR. tuition is expensive

Average DOs make less then average MDs at present.

This is because the current DOs are more likely to be primary care docs while more MDs specialize. This may or may not change in the future.

Average DO schools accept students with lower academic qualifications then average MD schools. However, the difference is not great.

On average, however, male DO's have larger penises than their MD counterparts. And the DO chicks are WAY hotter.

Think about that when you decide to apply to MD school.

LMAO

Does that apply to female DOs as well?

yeah baby, yeah!

i know two DOs very well. one is an emergency medicine doc, and the other a neurologist. let's just say they are very, very well off. they have amazing homes, nice cars, and are able to provide everything needed for their families.

then again, when you specialize the average income usually does increase vs a primary care physician. point being, i assume DOs specializing in XX make just as much as MDs in the same specialty.

When it comes to deciding between a DO and MD. Is there s discrimination is pay? IE do DO get paid significantly less?

Be rest assured the money is the same between an MD and DO in the same specialty, adjusting, of course, to your location.

If you really want to know if there is any difference between DO and MD, keep this in mind:

Strippers don't know the difference between osteopath and allopath. So whenever you stride on in to a strip joint and tell the Barbie doll in front of you that you're a doctor, she won't ask whether you specialize in OMT, she'll just be wondering where on the six figure scale you reside, and if you're married.

So don't give it another thought. Just go to the school you'd be happy at and think nothing of apparent DO discrimination that only pre-meds seem to be aware of. Anytime things get a bit rough in medical school, keep your eye on the prize and you'll be just fine. 😉
