the dental hygienist

what do you guys think about studying the dental hygienist field , i was searching the web about dentistry and it related jobs , i found the dental hygienist , ITS A GOOD PAY JOB ( 50,000-70,000 )but for some reason i think its a womens career , so do you think a man fill to be a dental hygienist? and what is the SAT and ACT tests ? are they related to the DAT? which is harder...the SAT -- ACT or the DAT?

i have a guy friend that is a hygenist, i also know of a few others also. so anyone can do it. as for the ACT and SAT, thats the undergraduate entrance exam. mainly high school students take these before applying to college.

This thread topic has started lots of discussion.... but I think you would find plenty of opinion, fact, and more opinion on this topic in previous threads. Dentaltowne has a lot real world opinions and here you are not going to get too many "facts" because very few on here are hygienist's and those that are, are trying to becoming denists. (myself for example)

But no, hygieine isn't a "womens" job. But like historically it has been filled by primarlity women, but we did have a few men in my classes, and their are men hygienists. There is nothing wrong with it, just like there is nothing wrong with a female dentist.
