So what did you think of the year?

Easier? Harder? About what you expected?

Who here feels ready to assume the responsibilities of an 'upper level'?

As for me, I think it was easier than I expected. Primarily because I tend to psych myself up so much for things that they are never as hard as I imagined they would be. This held true for my military service, undergrad as well as medical school.

In some ways I feel really stupid but in others I realize I'm much more competent (read: less deadly) than I was just 12 short months ago! :D

I've become a firm believer in the concept of "the more you learn, the more you realize how little you know".

Thoughts?

There is much truth in this statement.

Since I've been an intern twice (prelim IM, then in my EM 1-3 program), I've had enough. I'm doing my EM2 trauma block now (as an EM1), and it is liberating to have the intern to do the scut.
