Hey everyone,
As this application cycle gears up, I am wondering what people think about contacting POIs:
1. At PsyDs that don't work on a mentorship model
2. At PhD programs that already specifically mention who will be taking students
When is it right to contact? And, what does one say to stand out? The standard, hi I am so and so and I am interested in your research because of XYZ seems so pointless, and many professional psychologists/academic psychologists have told me not to do this...
