Hello pre-pharmers,

I just want you to know back in 2001 it was actually tough to get into pharmacy school but easy to get a job afterwards, similar to how medical school is today. Unfortunately Pharmacy deans are letting anyone school these days to fill empty seats due to decreased demand (including ex-heroin drug dealers and people with religious studies degrees). So the good news is that you will get accepted to pharmacy school but the hard part is now securing a job as a pharmacist. This is getting much harder, even in rural areas. Please do your homework and ask around where you want to work how fierce the job competition is.

What's wrong with people with religious studies degrees? Students enter pharm school w/ a range of undergrad degrees, as long as they took the pharm prereqs.
