I haven't yet gotten my scores, but I would like to start a thread so that people can share when they get their scores and how they did. Anyone?

Don't know whether or not to be happy. I was hoping for higher because I don't have the strongest GPA...
Should I register to take the jan. pcat.
henitz9 said:I did really well with 96 composite, but it included a Biology score of 62 which is kinda low I'm guessing. Will schools look closely at that? The thing is..at the time of the test I was only 6 weeks into Biology 1.

PharmBoy said:Got my scores in Chicago on friday. I've been out of school for almost 10 years and need about a semester to complete my degree. My GPA was poor (2.75). My scores are as follows:
VA 432 90%
Bio 435 91%
RC 425 85%
QA 414 75%
Chem 428 87%
Comp 427 91%
Writing 4
I am happiest with my QA score believe it or not, since I was guessing on what seemed to be half of the section just to finish. Overall I am very pleased with the composite, but given my situation, would I even be considered?? Any comments or suggestions? Thanks.

I know of students who have been accepted with sub-3.0 GPA's. With your PCAT score, I think you will at least be offered an interview at a school whose minimum requirements you meet. Good luck!![]()
(I also thought I would BOMB QA and was pleasantly surprised with my score even though that section was my lowest of the 5)

I already had my interview and I had applied as an early decision applicant but was deferred as a regular applicant (waiting for PCAT scores maybe) and I have had only 1 full year of college-prep work. Will the schools be "kind" to me maybe? I hadn't even taken Orgo yet...
PharmBoy said:Thanks ndearwater, hopefully I'll get interviewed somewhere. Taking this test was almost an afterthought. Don't get me wrong, I did study and I was very rusty at first as you can imagine. It's kind of weird/cool to be doing academic stuff after so long. I certainly appreciate it alot more this time around. To all you young whipper snappers, don't be lazy or you'll be trying to get into Pharm school in your 30's like me!!
Just out of curiosity, does the writing section hold any weight?
By the way, great job on your amazing score ndearwater!!

Each is good. I think 80+ is a good composite and 70-80 is so-so. In the upper 60's the score may begin to become a liability.SearsTower said:90+ PCAT = Composite or 90+ in every section?

This fall I took General Biology and I retook Organic I, which I had about 3 years ago. Both classes helped a great deal as you can see, especially when you consider I did nothing else to prepare.PharmBug said:I really need help improving my chemistry score, what did you do differently to make such an improvment?

I guess I'll try the cliffnotes studying method this time around. PCATprofessor and the Kaplan book didn't work out so great.
