Since 1994, I have taken 1 (or 2 at most) classes each semester to fulfill my pre med requirements. I work a full time and part time job so I have had to progress at this pace with my class work. I plan to apply in 2001.

I have done very well so far (3.9/3.9) GPA.

Assuming my MCATs are in the competitive range, what negative effect(s) will such a shedule have on an admission commitee's impression of me as a candidate?

Thank you,

I think your MCAT will make all the difference, validating your GPA if you score high on it. I think it will make all the difference. Otherwise, I don't think it will be a big issue as you have a legitimate reason, as long as you explain it.

Best wishes!
