Awe! I love the pakistani support premed group. I am not pakistani but all of my friends are (well there is that one other Black girl). Good Luck-and kick butt!

I though "paki" was a racial slur, but I guess it's only a slur in the UK. 🙂

yeah u are right,"paki" is a racial slur...👎..but i guess it's one of those things where if someone who is indian/pakistani said that it would be "okay"...i'll never understand why any racial slur is okay when the targeted race says it. i also do not think the OP meant to use it in an offensive way either

You're right! I had to go back and edit my post. I don't know why I cut the word I just went off the original poster. And Yeah-it is and my friends would go off on me for that.

I know what you're saying-it still bugs me to hear Blacks use the 'N' word as if they've changed the meaning so it's "ok" for them now.

paki can also be short form for the country, pakistan. and the last time i checked, they are not a race, just a nationality lol.

LoL...yeh i was....and i saw quite a few desi ppl in the class so i have no idea which one u were..lol....interview went well...one of my interviewers was kind of weird though...Dr. Powell...pharmacology guy...he was pretty much quiet throughout the whole interview and everytime i asked a question he was like i dunno..n handed it over to dr. haysteys... ...i was kind of worried about him at first, but then after talking to other ppl in my interview group who also interviewed with Dr. Powell and Dr. Haysteys, they all had similar things to say about dr. powell.... so i guess thats just his personality... Dr. Haystey's seemed like a really cool guy though. Inshallah hope everything works out!!

Yeah, I REALLY like NSU also......Once your application is complete, you should get an email from them within one week.. but honestly, NSU is notorious for loosing things from your application, esp. LOR's (happened to me too...) .. so If I were you, I would call them up and check on your application status!
