Hi everyone!

The other thread got a little off topic. Let this thread be soley about those of us that are so far going to the University of Pittsbugh! I just got in about a week ago. I think it would be cool to get to know my future classmates!

Dude, I can't believe anyone would even consider going to Pitt!!! If you cared at all about your education, you'd move to Georgia and get into the Medical College of Georgia. You need to seriously rethink your decision.

Well.... just kidding. But I couldn't resist. 😀

Santa stuffed the stocking of four point oh

Thanks Groundhog, that was very cute.

 😉 😛 🙂

Since the other thread was killed, why not talk some more about PITT on this thread? In a nice, professional manner, of course! Let's not put each other down, can't we all just get along?

😕 🙂

I liked Pitt alot. I am leaning there very strongly. The cold can get to be annoying along with the lack of parking near the school but overall I just got a great feel for Pitt. Plus the brand new weight room is right across the the street. I wil be making my final choice Monday. The signed letter has to be in by the 12th right. I know Mrs Mangold sent an email giving a later date than what the letter said. I think it is the 12th.

Oh and sorry for getting that other thread closed but that "gentleman from Penn" had it coming

I will be at pitt for sure and I am totally excited. From what Mrs. Mangold told me it seems like our class will be less than 80 this year, which is absolutely great. I actually did a lot of research on Pitt (speaking to several dds and dds/phds) and hands down they all told me to go to Pitt. Research is excellent (among the top 10 in the nation). Lots of alumni! I actually like the fact that Pitt has a lot of the specialties (it is always good to make your connections early. I have found out in life that it is not necessarily how much you know but who you know). Oakland is great. Lots of cultural activites! We will get to have our own operatory pretty much. Great faculty and staff! It is a little bit on the pricey side, but am sure that once we start working we will pay of those 200,000+ loans in no time. I still have no idea how students perform on their boards (does anybody have that info?). I am looking forward to meeting all of my fellow classmates in august. Have any of you started the apartment hunting. I will be there next month to take a better look at things! Enjoy the next five months and see everybody in the fall!

-->Just got my acceptance packet today. I liked Pitt a lot, but have heard it doesn't prepare its students well enough to take the California Boards. I think I'll end up depositing at both USC and UPitt until I can decide. The 15 days is just not enough to make this decision.<--+pissed+

Hi Everyone!!

This is my second post, so I'm gonna make this special😉

I have accepted a seat at Pitt, and being Canadian, it's quite exciting.

I felt totally at home during my interview, and from what I've heard...it's the perfect choice.

I can't wait to head south and get started!!!
