How not to say the wrong thing

"Here are the rules. The person in the center ring can say anything she wants to anyone, anywhere. She can kvetch and complain and whine and moan and curse the heavens and say, "Life is unfair" and "Why me?" That's the one payoff for being in the center ring."

Yes, it applies. I die a little every day I work with chronic pain.
 
I don't... it's actually getting easier to practice pain management. I really only prescribe opiates as a wean to get patients off. I simply tell them the DEA and powers that be do not allow me to prescribe opiates for mechanical neck/low back pain. And that's the end of it. No hassles. No arguments. It's great
