The UCLA Waitlist Club Thread

[Patiently Waiting]

I'm interested in figuring out exactly how many of us have been put on the waiting list. Although we would represent a fraction of the total waitlistees, it would still give us a good estimate. This would also help us see when and which one of us begin to get in off the waiting list. The format of this list should be as follows: *so and so*, Date of being put on the waiting list. Please update the information once you get in.

I said skeptical cuz it seems way too many of us have been put on the list and waiting to hear the next round of decision. Hopefully the info does stay valid this year.

Good luck to everyone here I hope you all get in!•••••To figure out how many of us are "currently" on the waiting list. What I've heard from some source is about 50% of the applicants continuously holding the waitlist spots eventually get in... but who knows!

That's funny, cuz Carol messed up my interview time twice and wanted me to show up on another day when I was already there...yea, maybe I shouldnt take her word for it...but who knows maybe third time is the charm (w/getting things right w/her). just wanted to let all of you know that i talked to "monotone guy" and he stated that the waitlist apps would be reviewed in a "couple of weeks" who knows whether that means 2 weeks or 100 weeks with UCLA tho !

Ya know the same dude told me just two weeks ago that the files would be reviewed at the end of this month...so most likely his "a couple of weeks" = 100+ weeks.

That was me! •••••That was some funny stuff Ceez. DID YOU REALLY TELL HIM THAT THOUGH? I wondered if that was him when I was there, but then he made some joke with me and another interviewee while having the most expressionless face ever and that's when I knew he was the "monotone guy". I was actually more surprised that he could muster something halfway humorous.

Monotone guy replies to everything with "two weeks". I asked many months aago when I would hear something from them regarding a secondary and he told me "two weeks". It was more like six months. Also, at the end of the day when i asked when I would hear regarding a final decision he answered "two weeks". I 5hit you not!

That was me! •••••That was some funny stuff Ceez. DID YOU REALLY TELL HIM THAT THOUGH? •••••I'm serious. I told him that . I was sitting in the office waiting for my interview and I was bored so I struck up a conversation with him. He told me that he doesn't mind us calling the office all the time. And he told me how bad traffic in LA was. Yeah, he's a pretty expression-less guy. I don't think anything can faze him.

Just talked to a friend, who has been accepted already. She talked to monotone dude and was told they will be interviewing for a few more weeks. He also told her that the class wasn't filled yet. He couldn't give her any specific numbers, though.

I wonder- Does this mean we have to wait until all interviews end or will they move the waitlist before.
