So, what are you doing with your time?
I’ve been reading some self help books lately, and I’ve realized that my previously perceived lack of time has been an illusion. It’s clear to me now that despite my idea of being a hard worker since I work full time and go to school full time, I’ve actually been lazy.
Have I felt lazy? No. But after crunching the numbers it’s clear to me that I should have at least 60 hours of time outside of school, work, commuting, and sleep, that I could spend on anything I’d like.
I am now reevaluating what I am truly doing with all of this time and what I SHOULD be doing with it. I’m writing this for the people who feel like they have more to eat on their plate than they can handle. I’m asking all of my pre-med brethren and sisteren (which I’m pretty sure isn’t a thing) to feel empowered because most likely we have more time than we realize. It’s up to us how we spend it. And to all the peeps out there with kids and sick family members, I salute you.
Best,
Cpt Ahab
