The list is propaganda. Should take into account hours spent training & working over career vs earnings over career in order to obtain a $/hour figure. To make it even more accurate, include projected value lost on investment returns due to late start and accumulating interest on student loan debt.

I have never seen a list of this fashion that made sense. The general public doesn’t seem to understand this concept.

Journalism at its finest. Alternative facts. Makes you wonder how much other news we read is equally inaccurate. Garbage story based on garbage data. There’s not a single accurate thing in it.

Every year there are two or three similar lists that pop up, and invariably Anesthesiology is listed as number one. What gives? We do fine, but surely EP or GI or ortho etc etc does better...

They are "physicians," so their mean gets reduced by the primary care docs, neurologists, etc. We are not physicians in the eyes of the media and general public.
