While watching television in my rare spare time, I always see some new product being advertised that is medically related. However, the advertising agency can't or won't get an M.D. (or D.O.) to endorse the product. For example, I just saw a commercial about this new weight loss drug being promoted by Dr. So & So. Then in miniscule letters under the docs name is D.C. What in bloody he** do chiropractors know about the ramifications of such drugs? Later, I saw another one with a phd. This is a little better, but the man could have his doctorate in philosophy for all I know! Talk about deceiving naive Americans!

There is a reason why it is called the idiot box...

Nothing too surprising. I believe there was a 20/20 show on such nonsense

The positive out of all this is that the MD/DO community seem to be unified on such ads - and not participating. It is not that easy to find one of these junk products that is endorsed by an actual MD. (Except for that one with the old Harvard geezer)

why is that harvard guy endorsing that product? ISn't it a cheezy weight loss product that probably doesn't do anythinG?

Guys, don't forget about all the PhD's in economics and history and stuff that get on an hawk products.
