A diploid genome with n = 3 produces how many different gametes? Consider only independent assortment of nonhomologous chromosomes during meiosis I, and assume that no recombination has occurred.

I got this right by doing both 2^n and 3! and thank goodness it didn't have 6 as an option so I put 8 and got it right.
