If any one knows any thing about colorado entrance pls let me know .
Wjhat is their criteria .Do they give any weightage to post graduates and back home experience . What was the min Part ! score that was accepted last yr .Have been trying to call them but in vain

I gather from another thread that your part 1 score is 79. Honestly I don't think anyone will get a call from any school with that score. This years cut off score in various dental schools are between 86-93, as I have gathered from this forum. Having both part 1 & 2 scores not going to change anything with that score. I have already adviced you about preparation. It all depends on time you have. YOU HAVE TO CRAM EVERYTHING OF DENTAL DECK 2004 AND SOLVE ALL ASDA RELEASED QUESTIONS. You have no choice about this. By doing this you can push you score to 85-88 level. Realistically you need 90+ or 92 to get a seat. So if you have to do something additionally. My recommendations are 1) However hard it is go through Lippincotts Biochemistry. 2) If you can then join Kaplan 3 months course. They give you a review book. I heard it is very helpful. Also you get Kaplan online Q bank with course. I found that most valuable. 3) Depending on your level of base knowledge you will have to do some additional study (whichevr is your weak subject)

Lastly you have to make DDS advanced standing program your mission. I think lots of forum members will agree with that. It ain't no half-hearted effort!! 😀 😀

I had interviews at UPenn and NYU. But just getting an interview call is meaningless 😳 . One has to get an offer of acceptance. Isn't that it is all about?

hi prady.what impression did you get of the school when you visited last year.and how was the interview and interviewers?????plus, are the instruments for the clinical test provided by them????or do you have to take your own.??????and regarding clinical test,do they ask questions regarding whatever tooth preparation we have been asked to do?????????and when was the interview conducted last year?was it around the same time of the year.and by when do they start declaring results.sorry too many questions for you!!!!!!!!!!!!

the school is really good & they r going 2 shift to a new building-campus which should consist of state of the art tech.(well thatz what they said!!!)I WAS SCREWED UP BY THE INTERVIWERSAS THEY ASKED ME ALL ABOUT TECHNICAL AND CASE RELATED QUESTIONS:they were tough to handle (at least for me)!!!!I DUG MY OWN GRAVE!!yes they r going to provide instruments,but any special instruments,burs which u may think will be convenient for u to use for any specific procedure r permitted,they r flexible& THEY WILL MAKE U REALLY COMFORTABLE.NO QUESTIONS R ASKED REGARDING A TOOTH PREPARATION/ANY PROCEDURE.U JUST HAVE 2 SUBMIT IT,THATZ ALL.LAST YR.THE INTERVIEW WAS CONDUCTED IN MID NO.,13TH NOV. TO B PRECISE! BUT THIS YR. THEY R GOING 2 CALL PEOPLE IN JULY.LAST YR. THEY DECLARED THR RESULTS BY A MONTH,BUT I'VE NO IDEA THIS YR.I THINK I HAVE ANSWERED ALL YOUR QUES.NO TROUBLE AT ALL!FEEL FREE 2 ASK ANYTHING!GLAD 2 BE OF SUM KIND OF HELP!

let me ans.ur q,one by one
1they called24 people out of 70 applicants last yr.total no.of seats were 10
2yes, the interview&the test were held on the same day
3total time was 3 hrs. including awaxppn./carving section
4interview went for about 30-45 min. 4 each applicant

may i know whats ur toefl/part 1,2 score coz i have 93/240 3.36 and i m hoping for interview letter but i dont get any letter till today so i just wanna know what can i expect in current condition..did u give part 2 also.there r 2 guys who get interview letter one of them is you,another guy has good part one and part 2 score.so i think they started to send letter who has good score in both the exam.

🙂 Well my friends came home after spending a fab memorial day weekend (in and around Disney World...My old friend Mickey is doing fine 😍 ). More surprises and worries were waiting here. Surprise....Got an interview call from Colorado 😀 & Worry...What's going to happen at the practical test 😕 ?? I have been asked to contact Jane Miller by 1st of June to confirm the interview which is scheduled on June 18 (by the school). The interview letter dated May 16 is a snail mail with May 25 as postmark. That means the assessment was done on the basis of my Part 1 score + other credentials (last week I mailed my Part 1+2 scores to Colorado).

My stats:
NBDE: 86 (I)/ 83 (II)
TOEFL: 273
GPA: 3.79

I received a letter from Univ of Colorado for interview on 18th June.

In efforts to check the status of application, I constantly use to make
phone calls to them, though 95% time it went to voice-mails. But around
24th/25th they told me over phone that I have been shortlisted for
interview and that I would be receiving a formal letter shortly.

So all you guys waiting for a call from U of Colorado, go ahead and start
making phone calls.
