Hi, I own the Kaplan books from a class because they were donated by a friend. However, I fear the MCATs and thought one study aid wasn't enough and that another resource couldn't hurt and found a 25% off coupon at Borders. So, I made a trip to Borders, hoping to find EK study aid, but all they had was TPR Cracking the MCAT book. I've been reading through this book the past week and feel like it's helping me a lot. However, my question is that I'm wondering if this book is a lot different from the books they give out in TPR classroom.

I really want an EK study aid because so many people on the forums say it's awesome. I suppose I would only get if you guys think that TPR Cracking the MCAT book is just a gimmick for TPR to make more money. There is no higher score guarantee or anything on the book so I'm a little effy about it.

Okay, I wrote too much. In short, what are you guys thoughts on this book?

Bump
I thought TPR stood for The Princeton Review, but reading the forums it apparently means "total." So I guess I'm asking for opinions on PR's Cracking the MCAT book.

You were right the first time: TPR stands for The Princeton Review.

I'd supplement with EK books.

Anyone?

Does anyone if this book is any different than the books they give out in TPR classes? I know the Kaplan Comprehensive book they sell at Borders/Barnes/Amazon is the exact same as the one they give in the class minus the review questions after each chapter.

I could really use some input about this book because I've been using it for 2 weeks and I hope it's relevant and helpful.

I used this book as a study aid for the MCAT. It's actually pretty good, but yes, you will need to supplement it with further materials (ie. practice problems). The book is completely different than the ones that are given out in class, but the one you have does give a good overview of everything you need to know. PM me if you need to know more.
