thread cycles on pre-allo

seems to me that for some reason, a certain type of thread will gain prominence here for a short while, only to be overtaken by another, etc etc, until it is time for the cycle to repeat.

for example, at the moment, the in vogue thing to do is bump old threads. i expect this to die off soon, and be replaced by... DO vs MD? Healthcare debate?

just an observation.

I remember a couple months ago I was going to post a thread like this, but then I realized how dumb it would be. Since applications go out in cycles, year after year after year, and this forum is largely based around those cycles...it seems painfully obvious to me that the topics under discussion repeat themselves in correlation with the application cycles...i.e. we're going to see a bunch of wait-list threads/questions right around December/January when most people start getting WLed...just as it was last year.
