I did a terrible job on an interview, and I'm hoping that talking about it will make me feel better.
This interview was after a morning flight that was after an overnight flight that was after another overnight flight to a previous interview; so, in my defense, I had been awake for more than 36 hours. On the plane, I listened to the This American Life episode "Before It Had A Name." This episode includes recordings by David Boder, and it did not put me in a very cheerful frame of mind.
I was asked a question that carried some emotional weight during the interview, and I started crying. It was horrible. I don't think anyone can top this; but, if you have had a terrible interview, it can be cathartic to share.
