I'm not a DMU student, but I went to school in IA and I lived in DSM for a bit. I remember looking at the complex...it wasn't so great.

However, it is near Gray's Lake Park, which has a bridge that has rainbow lights. This was my favorite thing about DSM (that and the Von Maur discount shoe room). I'm easily amused.

I know they make it sound like it is the perfect place to live ! Once you sign the lease than you start seeing all the bad stuff. I am going to Des Moines in March and I will report back my apartment hunt findings.
